History lessons are much more interesting when you actually know some of the people in the history lesson! The kids were in awe of the old guns, sewing machines, school desks, bath tubs, washing machines, and pretty much everything in the old school. They loved seeing pictures of people they know-Great Grandpa Milne, Grandma Boneita (who sis is named after) Quinton Nisson, The Sandbergs, and a few others. They have a big framed picture with pictures of all of the war Veterans from Washington. Grandpa Glen and his two brothers Jake, and Ray were pictured side by side. We also found an old dance picture that had Grandma Bonnie in a prom dress!

When I saw this old camera I HAD to take a picture of it. I take THOUSANDS of pictures-and could not imagine living during the time of one picture-make it a good one! The kids thought that the old mail box looked so cool, but the bath tub (water trough) and washing machine were "so weird"! Going through the old school with all of the antiques makes me so grateful for everything we have today! Sometimes I think how nice it would be if all of life's "conveniences" were gone and life went back to being slow and friendly, instead of rush rush rush! But at the same time I love having the things that make my life easier-I complain about laundry all the time, but could you imagine washing clothes back in the day? .jpg)
After the history lesson we went outside to play on the old playground. The metal slide is a moms worst nightmare! It leaves BLACK everywhere! On their hands, legs, and all over their CLOTHES, but they had a blast getting filthy!.jpg)
