Our entire weekend went by like a whirlwind, so when A said, let's go look for deer I thought it was a great idea! Driving in the hills is always SO relaxing! We started up in to Oak Grove and the kids asked about a sign-Adam said we've been there before right? I said no what is it-he stopped and backed up to park. We started walking down a nice trail, and ended up at this HUGE Kiln! I think it said it was built in 1859-it was awesome, and the kids LOVED it!
Then after exploring for a little bit, and enjoying the beautiful colors of fall, we decided to find a can and shoot Dog's gun at it! Let the competition begin! Jaden did really well, Sis just wanted to better than he did, and Koda could not hit the can!

Then after trying probably 50 times, just as we were getting ready to leave, Koda FINALLY hit the can! Everyone JUMPED and CHEERED for him! It was hilarious to see how excited we all were, like he'd won the lottery, or something!
Today we had our annual primary program. It was a great program! I found out a few months ago that they would be performing Bailia's song in the program. My class (Valiant 9), Bailia, and Cooper would be singing it. They sang their hearts out, and yes, they made me cry! It is amazing to me that at the time she wrote the song she was seven, and to think that they thought it was good enough to sing in our program is such an honor! I am so proud of her for writing the song, and of my kids, and my class for singing it so beautifully! I am overwhelmed at the support that my children have from friends and family! Gary, Poppy, Grandma and Grandpa Williams, Jaclyn and Lee, Jennifer and Jaxon, Grandma and Grandpa Johnson, Mrs. Turnbeaugh, and Mrs. Tsosie, all came to support them! Thank you!
After the program we went out to dinner with Poppy, and Grandma and Grandpa Williams, to the Texas Roadhouse. I love spending time with Poppy since we only get to see him a few times a year!
Yesterday didn't look cold, but it was! When we were at Bailia's soccer practice Koda and Huddy started to play on the playground. Then the wind picked up. YUCK! I hate the wind! Alright it was just a strong breeze, not quite wind, but it was a COLD breeze! Luckily I had a blanket that I wrapped myself in to watch the boys. Then they got cold. So since I have the title of Mom obviously I had to give up my warmth to let these two cuties snuggle! Koda had also brought his beloved Christmas catalog, it kept the boys busy for a good thirty minutes! They sat there in the warmth of the blanket, talking about which toys they wanted to ask Santa for! So cute!
Jen called to invite us to go to lunch with her today. We said you bet! Which we will call, mistake number one.
I am SURE that will be our last invitation for awhile!
The meal started off just fine, my tomato bisque was delicious! Koda ordered a LARGE hot cocoa, and the tomato soup.
He GULPED the hot cocoa down in a hurry, mistake number two.
Then the soup came, he didn't like it much. I told him he had to eat at least half, mistake number three .
I gave him a straw started drinking, he had a hard time with it but I made him keep drinking. Mistake number four. Then he looked at me with "the face", you know the one every mother dreads when they are eating lunch in a VERY crowded place! I said, SWALLOW IT! Mistake number five. His eyes got bigger and he gagged. SWALLOW IT NOW, I whispered through clenched teeth! Then it came. I am sure I have never moved so fast in all of my life! I bet my face was BEET red! I grabbed the napkin, shoved it to his face, and walked with him pressed against my hip, ALL the way through the restaurant to get to the bathroom! Mistake number six-he had throw up smeared all the way to the back of his head, which got all over my jeans as I pressed his face against me! My sister had a good laugh and said that if you didn't see the whole thing, you didn't know what had happened, and she didn't think anyone had seen. Whew!
Then the OWNER came over.Yes, the owner saw it. Can someone just shoot me, NOW?He said is everything OK? As soon as we get out of here it will be! We paid as fast as we could, then it hit me. How could I let this memorable day pass by without a picture! You have got to be kidding me, Jen said.I set the timer and said nope, get in the picture and smile. And we did. Koda felt dumb, obviously, but hey, this is a day I will NEVER let him forget!! Moms, aren't we the BEST!?!To the diners at the Electric Cafe, I am SO sorry if you witnessed any of this. To the owner of the Electric Cafe, I am so, SO, sorry you had to watch the above mentioned mortifying events!
Koda got the invitation to Ella's birthday at the start of the week. He has been talking non-stop about the party since! He couldn't wait to go, and it was a COSTUME party to top it off! He had SO much fun today, playing games, eating cake and ice cream, and having fun with friends!
As I made Rice Krispie treats this morning I thought, hmm it would be fun to have friends over to make Frankenstein Rice Krispie treats. Which turned into a spur of the moment Halloween get together-who knew not planning anything could go so smoothly! We painted pumpkins, had hot dogs, made Frankenstein, and watched Monsters VS. Aliens! The painted pumpkins turned out really cute! I love to see what each child comes up with. Pumpkins pictured from left to right-Jaden made a ghost, Kenna made a witch, Sis made a pig, Koda made a ghost, Jake made a goblin/witch, and Chloe made a rainbow!
Saying that Chloe LOVES Bailia, might be a slight understatement! She adores her! Bailia LOVES to mother the poor child to death, luckily Chloe loves being mothered! If Bailia walked out of the room Chloe would instantly say Where's Bailia? Too cute!

Coop and Jake both love to wrestle! They started out playing football, then they said hey let's wrestle! They started rolling on the ground and Cooper kept saying I'm just wearing him down Mom, just wearing him down! Then Jake would flip Koda over and sit on top of him for a while, then Koda would flip Jake. This continued for quite some time. Usually it is all fun and games until someone gets hurt, amazingly that didn't happen!
The Frankenstein Krispies were a BIG hit! They each had their own look, some happy, some sad, and some angry! They all turned out SO cute! What an easy, cheap, entertaining, yummy, craft!
