So...it turns out I could have saved myself fifty bucks and brought Koda's goldfish home and put it in a glass vase, just as I had planned. We soon found out that the water conditioner gel, the pretty decorations, and the aquarium with a filter, did absolutely nothing to keep the fish alive longer. They obviously die no matter what! That, or I am a fish killer! Gus Gus is the only fish still floating. Gills passed away this morning, and Fins passed away the day before. I am sure it is only a matter of time before Gus Gus takes the plunge with his brother and sister down the swirling tunnel into the big beautiful ocean. That is, after all, where they end up...right?
This month has been so busy, it is still a blur. All three kids have had SO many field trips, school activities, and after school activities, that the month just disappeared! It blows my mind to think that the last day of school has come and gone.Report cards have been handed out, which means I now have a 1st grader, 4th grader, and a 5th grader. What? Rewind that part!! I have a 5th grade boy? When did this happen? Didn't I JUST go to his kindergarten graduation? Oh wait, that was Koda's graduation. This is the EXACT reason that I am obsessed with taking pictures of everything that we do. It all goes by too fast!Much. Too. Fast.
Jill had a great idea to have a welcome to summer vacation party. It was a BLAST! It was the perfect way to start our summer break.Even though on the way to the party I had to threaten my kids' lives...so help me if you do not stop fighting I will drive right by Jill's house, and continue on home, where you will do chores for the rest of the day!Even though Kate got sent to her room during the party for getting a little attitude with her mom.Even though I had to break up a wresting match, that got a little too serious, between Koda and Jake.Twice.And even though all three of my kids are burnt to a crisp...especially Bailia, it was still an absolutely perfect day!Like one of my favorite songs says...Every rose has its thorn. Would we really appreciate the good with out the bad? I think not.The kids inhaled hot dogs (I think my kids ate an entire package by themselves), chips, and watermelon~notice the cute heart watermelon pops Jill made~DARLING! For dessert they all had more than their share of popsicles and fat boy ice cream sandwiches! The kids have such a great time together! I'm sure we will be spending all summer together!I didn't get to bed until a little after midnight last night, then awoke at 4:45. But as the song goes~just like every night has its dawn. Thank goodness dawn is almost here! Even though I am going to be yawning all day long, I would rather have it daytime, than sitting here~ in the dead of the night~which is another line from one of my favorite songs, sung by one of the best 80's groups out there~name that band! I know, I am a total dweeb! I am okay with that!

For my own records I wanted to write down the sweet post Jaden wrote on his blog about the following picture...Today we were playing a game called minute to win it. Me and kenna finally got a good picture after Kiersten and Kaylee stopped sticking their hands in our pictures. Kenna is my best friend because she is always nice, she tries to help me in what ever she can, she tries to make me laugh ,she cares about me, and we have so much fun together!
Yesterday was a bit hectic~after dropping the kids off at school I ran home to get ready and clean up as much as I could before having to pick Koda up at 10:40~Friday seems like such a waste for kindergartners! After picking him up we ran a few errands, then it was time to pick the big kids up from school.
We ran home and had a snack and the kids changed their clothes. We took Jdog to gymnastics, and then headed to the school where the kids were singing for Sandstone's 10 year celebration! We walked around to look at the artwork that each of the kids had created, then it was time for Koda to sing a few songs. After he finished, we took Sis to her class so they could get ready, and I ran Koda to a Mario & Luigi birthday party celebration at Kam's house~Koda LOVED the party! I made it back to the school just in time for Bailia's performance~she is such a cute girl! When it came time to sing God Bless the USA, she had tears in her eyes while singing her little heart out! I don't know why my kids are all so patriotic, but they all LOVE, and are so proud of their country! After Bailia finished we looked at the artwork again for a few minutes, then we ran to pick Cooper up from the party, then headed to pick Jdog up from gymnastics! Luckily Adam took care of dinner last night, Gun Barrel, so at least I didn't have to worry about cooking dinner! After running NONSTOP yesterday I am SO glad it is the weekend!!
