Happy Thanksgiving 2008

Happy Thanksgiving one and all! What a wonderful day this has been. I have not had to do Thanksgiving now for 3 or 4 years because we have always been in Mexico for Thanksgiving. This year we stayed home and I made all of the fixings-turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, yams, rolls, and stuffing. It was so stress free I couldn't believe it! Gary came up and shared in the feast, and we took G-pa Milne a nice BIG plate of food as well!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE!

Sagittarius

This was on the front page of MSN today-it is SO interesting how well this describes me!! I HAVE to have change ALL the time, I do NOT like clingy people, when I do something I MUST do it big, "Once taken, the Sagittarian is loyal, true-blue, and devoted. Mates for this sign need to be intellectual, sensitive, and expressive for the best results." that is so true, and doesn't the second sentence in the quote sound like Adam!?! And Oddly enough ("Money-management tasks will bore the Sagittarius to tears, so getting a bookkeeper or accountant is the best plan in order to stay on top of what's coming and going.") I am married to a CPA! I know this is long (it is for me to read) but who else has read all about their sign and it describes you really well?? I find it so fascinating!
Their philosophical, broad-minded approach to life motivates them to wander far and wide in the search for the meaning of life. Extroverted, optimistic, and enthusiastic, it can be almost impossible to keep the Sagittarius down. They love change. In fact, change is essential for this sign to feel their best.
Friends and Family
Sagittarians are a ton of fun and downright wacky at times. They love to laugh and to get everyone around them going. They're generous and are not ones to hold a grudge. They make friends easily and remain steadfast through the years. When it comes to family, the Sagittarius is dedicated and willing to do just about anything. Freedom and independence are extremely important for this outgoing sign.
Career and Money
Visualization is the keyword for the Sagittarius. When this sign sees something as possible in their minds, they will go to great lengths to rally enough people to make it happen. situation. When the Sagittarius gets a sense of the big picture, they'll work night and day to reach a goal. A variety of tasks and a dynamic atmosphere favor Sagittarians. Fun loving Sagittarians enjoy making - and spending - money. Considered the luckiest sign of the Zodiac, they don't worry too much about where the next buck is coming from. Sagittarians are risk-takers and highly optimistic, trusting in the universe to provide what is needed. Money-management tasks will bore the Sagittarius to tears, so getting a bookkeeper or accountant is the best plan in order to stay on top of what's coming and going.
Love and Sex
Passionate, expressive, and willing to try just about anything, partners who are equally outgoing are best suited to the Sagittarius. There's a fine line between sex and love for this sign. Their Once taken, the Sagittarian is loyal, true-blue, and devoted. Mates for this sign need to be intellectual, sensitive, and expressive for the best results. As the key phrase for this sign is I understand, having a good sense of how their partner thinks is quite important.

~Salt Lake Fun~ 11/8/2008

I took the kids up to my parents house this weekend and we all had a great time! Unless you count the night we got there and Bailia lost my keys in my parents HUGE backyard that was covered with leaves! Don't ask!! Thanks again Kolby for saving the day-I do not know how you found them in the dark, cold night but THANK YOU!!!
The kids loved raking the leaves (they filled eight giant bags), playing with the dogs (Jeter & Topher), building a new bear, seeing the baby, and eating a lot of good food. If you ever go to the Market Street Grill-you might want to request, no DEMAND that Michelle will NOT be your server!! I don't know how we made it through last night-especially with three kids that were SUPER tired-but it took 1/2 hour to be seated (we expected longer being a Saturday night-so things were going good) then we were seated....2 hours and 45 minutes later we were FINALLY finished. The food was really good-my oysters were delish and my fillet could be cut with a fork-but THREE hours!! WHEW!
We got home today JUST in time to miss the storm!! Thanks again for EVERYTHING mom and dad!

This weekend the kids and I went up to Salt Lake to see my brothers baby girl. She is THE smallest baby I have ever held (except for Kyler, who spent two weeks in the hospital!)-honestly the pictures make her look bigger than she is-and she looks small in the pictures!

Veteran's Day Program 11/6/2008

Today the third grade classes put on an AMAZING Veterans Day program! All who attended today's program must have walked away feeling proud to be an American! I know I did! I really wanted to get a class picture after the program-or even J with a bunch of his friends - but the lighting in the auditorium is horrible, and it was so hectic after - that this is all I got - stay tuned for posts of videos from the program!

Diamond H Carnival! 11/1/2008

Uncle Bill and Amy Hirschi have an AMAZING arena in New Harmony and had a more than generous carnival! As soon as we walked in the door they had a little fall set up that we sat on and took our picture-which they printed out and gave to us! Then at the next book the kids were all able to decorate a wooden picture frame and a canvas bag to store their goodies in! From there it was game after game-bowling, ring toss, cake walk, everything you can imagine-with GREAT prizes-such as cowboy hats, jump ropes, whistles,yo-yo's and much more!! Then on to the delicious funnel cake, snow cones, cotton candy, hamburgers and much more! Then we took the kids through the horse stalls to see all of the beautiful horses. Then we were off to race-barrel races on a stick horse- foot races where they took your shoes and put them at the end of the arena and the kids had to race to get their shoes, put them back on, and race back! Bill announced that the winner of the barrel race would win a horse-Jaden won that horse-although a stick horse-it is a horse!! We had such a GREAT time and the most AMAZING thing about today's adventure, it was ALL......FREE!!
I would like to send a HUGE thank you to Uncle Bill and Aunt Amy! We had a great time today and it was good to see everyone too!

Halloween!! Picture overload! 10/31/2008

This Halloween was a lot of fun! It was pretty much a week long celebration with the kids-from Koda's party on Wednesday, going to Thriller, then the J and Sis with their school parties on Friday, then Trick-or Treating! It has been a VERY busy week. Then after school yesterday I had planned to take the kids around to see all of the Grandparents we made it to G-ma & G-pa Johnson's, Aunt Wendy's, and G-pa Milne's. We didn't make it to Nan's or Gary's since we ran out of time-there just never seems to be enough time in the day!
We took the kids out trick-or treating like we always do, but decided to leave A at home to pass out candy. By the time we got home he had not had a single trick-or-treater come to the house-for the rest of the night the kids waited anxiously by the door ready to hand out candy. We had two groups come (they were actually together but half of the group was faster than the other) our ward did the trunk or treat-which I think is great for the really little kids, but my kids didn't want to do that at all! They said door to door is a lot more fun than trunk to trunk! I wish it was still the way it used to be growing up! We would have kids coming to our door until 10-10:30 at night NON-stop-not that I really knew that first hand because I was out getting pillow cases FILLED with candy! Aaahh the good ol'days...
