Agriculture Lesson-7/3/2009

Obviously I blog a LOT-sometimes daily-but we are going ALL the time right now and if I don't keep up with my pictures I will fall completely behind.
So we move from a history lesson yesterday, to an agriculture lesson today. Nan has had a garden for as long as I can remember. She spoils us with oodles of fruits and veggies every year-my yummy peach jam I owe to her for the awesome peaches! The kids never get sick of searching the garden for something to pick, and they don't realize that they are actually learning while they are having FUN!
Nan took the kids through the garden to show them what was what. Jaden took my camera outside and started taking pictures of all of the fruits and veggies-oh how I love the fresh food summer produces!
Then Jaden started snapping pictures of the kids and Larry out back, while Nan and I stayed inside to visit. He didn't have to convince them to smile-as you can see they all wanted camera time!
Nan wanted a picture by this bush-she thought it was beautiful. Hmm, odd that I can barley see her peeking out from BEHIND the bush (she will be lectured later)! Jaxon was a little hesitant about swinging from the tree branch-Nan and Larry convinced him it would be fun by grabbing him and lifting him up. He was a little nervous, but they never let go of him!

Don't you love the feeling of laughing so hard you cry? This picture pretty much sums up Koda's personality~ LAUGHTER makes the world a brighter place! Thanks Nan and Larry for a great afternoon-and for sharing the delicious veggies!
