We stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton and we LOVED it! We had a two bedroom, two bathroom suite, and you pay about the same as you would a normal hotel room in the center of town! It is in a questionable area, right by Pioneer Park, but we never felt unsafe. I loved that is was clean, close to EVERYTHING, clean, free hot breakfast, clean, and had comfortable beds! We even walked to the Gateway, it was so easy to get to!

The kids have been SO excited to go on our little vacation that they haven't been sleeping. They have been awake between four and five thirty A.M. for the past few days!! The first night at the hotel the Jaden slept until 6:30, and Koda and Sis slept in until 7:15!

Saturday morning Adam and Jed had a golf tournament. The kids and I walked over to the Farmers Market at Pioneer Park. It was AMAZING! I could have bought something from EVERY booth if we were going home that day, but I didn't want things to spoil. Tomatoes in every color from purple, yellow, and orange, to deep red! Fruits and vegetables, jams, honey, jewelry, everything you could imagine! It puts our Farmers Markets to shame, I wish I lived closer I would drive up just to go to there! The kids found a booth with a couple making name bracelets, they all turned out really cute and the kids loved them!

Then to waste a little time before the zoo opened, I took the kids to the State Capitol. It is their type of thing, so they LOVED being up close!

Then it was off to the zoo! We met Nikki there and had a BLAST! We stayed for four hours and the kids were ALL so good! Our favorite part had to be the bird show! It was such an entertaining show, we all laughed a lot! After the show the kids went up to donate five dollars. Your give the $5 bill to the bird, he puts it in the box, and you get your picture taken with the BEAUTIFUL Bald Eagle! This might be a once in a lifetime opportunity for the kids so we jumped all over that deal!
