I don't get to watch Jaden golf very often, sSo I was excited to be able to follow him in the Pro/Jr, while Adam followed Bailia.
It was a nine hole, shotgun start and Jdog started on #3 with a birdie, then another birdie. Wow, I thought, he is on fire! Then on #5 he had a bad really bad drive, but managed to pull off a bogey, it could have been a lot worse!
Then he went on to par 6,7,8, and 9. Then we headed back around to #1. He hit a decent drive, it didn't go as far as he normally hits, but it was in the middle of the fairway.
He gets ready to hit his second shot, standing 140 yards from the green. It looked like a good swing, it sounded like it was a great swing.
It wasn't.
It was better than that!
It was perfect!
It was headed straight at the pin! Go in the hole, Kevin shouted!
Grandpa Williams was standing behind the green, and he thought for sure it was going in! It ended up just three feet above the hole.
Sitting trying to read his line, I can only imagine the thoughts racing through his head, knowing he could make an eagle!
He calmly walks up to his ball, takes a few practice strokes, and knocks it in!! We all cheered like crazy, as Jdog put both fists in the air and quietly said YES!!
I ran over and gave him a big hug! He said that is the first eagle I have ever made!
He finished on #2 with a par, missing his birdie putt by two inches!
He took 1st place with a three under, his best round ever!
Way to go Jdog! You are AMAZING!

Hey Marcia. So it has been forever since I got a chance to sit down and read everyones blog. Yours has got to be one of my favorites! You are such a amazing mother, and have such darling children. I sure do miss seeing you though, We need to get together!
