Fun with Friends~2/15/2010

This picture of Koda cracked me up. He looks like such a stud. Cool dude. Tough guy. Biker boy. You name it, he looks like he fits the part. I said, why don't you tip your helmet back a bit, so you can see better? He responded with-my head is too big, it's too tight if I tip it back. My poor kids were all blessed with the Milne Melon, so he was going for comfort, but I still like to think of him as a Cool Cat!

I had to make a bingo game for Koda's class party on Friday, we figured we might as well get some use out of it! The kids love playing, and get pretty competitive-just one more game-I know I can win this time!
After LOVE bingo, Adam played a hot and sweaty game on the Wii with the kids. It completely wears Koda out every time, he was out as soon as his head hit the pillow!

The day started out with two shopping trips, one to Harmons, one to Costco. I guess it is nice every now and then to have a friendly reminder of how EASY it is to go grocery shopping by yourself, or with just one child. When the kids are in school I don't have six extra hands, and three extra mouths saying, mom can we get this? Mom, what about this, please mom, please! I'm bored, how much longer? Are you buying the whole store? Can't we just GO?
But I did find out that when you buy two shopping carts full of food six extra hands come in handy! My groceries were loaded in my truck, and into the house faster than I could put them away!
After spending WAY too much money, I started on dinner while the kids played out back. They are so funny to listen to-they started talking about how warm it was outside while jumping on the trampoline-I think we should call this weather sunny-mer, Jaden said, because it's not as warm as summer, and it's not spring yet so lets just call it sunny-mer! About every five minutes the kids would come in and ask, Mom, has Kenna called yet? No not yet, I will let you know when the phone rings! Then they decided to play cops. Oh no, the little red haired girl hollered-officer there is someone in danger! I'm on my way, Officer Jaden said. Me too! Little sidekick Koda said, as they took off on their scooters! Mom, I heard your phone beep, is that Kenna texting? No, I will let you know when she calls, I PROMISE! Cooper said, let's just call her again! Jaden has called her twice now-she will call when she can play, I told him. Maybe she forgot to call us, let him call her again he begged! I am sorry Ashley-but now you see why your phones ring off the hook! The kids are SO busy that they usually don't have the chance to play (they are SO ready for spring break) so when they have an opportunity they try to take FULL advantage of it!
We were over at Jill's house delivering food when Kenna finally called! So we figured if one friends wanted to come and play, they might as well all go! Kate, Josh, Jake, Chloe, and Kenna came over. They all wanted to play the Wii, except for Jake and Josh, who preferred to watch them play through the window! The kids didn't get to play as long as they wanted to, since Jdog had gym, but they had fun while it lasted.

The kids all had root beer floats, and Kenna and Kate decided to have a contest to see who could hold the most root beer in their mouth without swallowing. It is amazing that my entire kitchen wasn't covered in root beer, but they kept it in their mouths, even through the giggles!
Bailia loves that Chloe loves her! She will do whatever Chloe wants to do, then tries to talk her into doing what she wants to do. They are so cute together!
It is so funny to watch the kids play the Wii-they get SO serious! I like to walk slowly in front of the TV, just to see if anyone will respond-most of the time they just move so they can see the TV better, instead of asking me to move!
