Field Trip and Reflections...11/6/2009

I have been so busy that I totally forgot to post the pictures of Koda's field trip to the dentist! We went on a walking field trip, October 28, to Jeremy Scholzen's office-if we didn't already have a dentist this is where I would take my kids! Not only is the waiting room entertaining, but they call the kids back and they get to go through their own little door! Once back in the back they lay back on the chair, put their headphones on, and watch a little TV! Then to top it off when you are finished watching TV and they send you on your way you get to pick a new book, a balloon, toothpaste, and a toothbrush to take home with you-every time you visit! Koda was in awe! He wants to change dentists, of course, so that he can watch TV!

I got a call last night telling me that Jaden had won the reflections contest, and that they were having an assembly today, but was told not to tell him that he had won! So I told Jaden I would be there just in case he did win. He sat anxiously, waiting for the winners to be announced, he was SO excited when they called his name! This has been my favorite reflections ever-he entered in the photography category (odd I know) and he picked a few of his favorite pictures, and I uploaded them to Costco's website-I clicked on make a collage, and bam it was finished! I didn't have to help any more than that! Bailia wanted to enter but we never got around to it, and Koda said, is it something I have to do? No, I told him. Sweet, then I won't do it! He is such a silly kid!
As I picked Jaden up from school he said, I am sad that Kenna didn't win. My stomach was in knots all morning wondering if we would win! I asked if she was OK that she didn't win and he said yes-she came over to me and told me congratulations- so I know she is fine. :)
I told him I found out last night that he had won.
WHY in the world did you not tell me!?!?
Some things in life are worth waiting for the answer, I told him.
Ya, but still you should have told me!
