Easter Weekend~4/4/2010

I thought the kids would enjoy a "tea party" for lunch. Jdog asked Kenna to come over, and before I knew it we had a table full! The kids loved to do "cheers" with their tea (pink lemonade), and devoured the little tea (ham and turkey) sandwiches!
After lunch they played a game of Wii Sports football~it was a competitive game with a lot of chest bumping and victory dances! Lately there has been a lot of talk about J and Kenna being boyfriend and girlfriend-it drives me crazy that people can't comprehend a boy and a girl being friends. Sure they talk about dating...when they are SIXTEEN, and one day getting married, but if you watch them together they are plain and simple BEST friends. They give each other high fives and chest bumps like boy friends would do to each other, and they giggle and hug just like girl friends would do! I wish people would just leave them alone and let them enjoy their childhood!

After the Wii the kids were a sweaty mess so I pulled out the snow cone maker that Koda got for Christmas. This was the first time we have used it, and I can tell that we will be using it a LOT this summer! After that we watched Astro Boy. This is the first movie (and we have watched MANY) that Jake has sat through the ENTIRE thing. I don't know if he was tired, or if he really liked the movie, but usually he is out shooting hoops within the first ten minutes!
It was a fun relaxing day that the kids all enjoyed! Happy Easter!







Koda came home from school on Thursday with a bunny hat on, he wore it for most of the day. I went out to mow the lawn and he said can I help? Might as well train them young, right?! My little Easter Bunny did great for about 4 passes, then it got too heavy for him to push~it's a start~good job Coop!
