Longing for another Vacation....

OK-it has been six months since we have been on a vacation and apparently that is about how long it takes for me to get back into vacation mode again. I miss the sound of the Ocean, the relaxed atmosphere where there are no schedules, no cell phones, nothing but my husband and cute kids. So this post is dedicated to our last vacation to Cabo. I am now looking into the newest four seasons that opens mid-2008 in Bora Bora (those of you that know me know this is my dream vacation) if the flight wasn't so long it would already be booked. Actually it isn't the flight that is deterring me it is the layover-with three kids I know how bad layovers are! So for now I will keep dreaming of my Bungalow over the beautiful turquoise ocean-but hey - you never know!!

J-Dog Team Wolfpack!

We have had such a fun time watching the kids get better and better each week as the season progresses. We have 3 weeks left of soccer and about a month left of baseball-I asked Adam what am I going to do not having to be two places at once? He said I am sure you will stay busy-it's what you do. It is true I always take on and do more than I should, but my kids appreciate it, right? Well at least they hopefully will someday!

Field Trip 4-8-2008

I went on a walking field trip with Jaden's class on Tuesday. I am glad I was able to go and take a few pictures of Jaden and his friends! We walked to Burger King, The Bank, Albertsons, and Little Caesars. At each stop the managers would take us on a tour and tell us more about how their business runs. It was very interesting and I was surprised to learn that a LOT of people order Whoppers at 9:30 in the morning!! OH MY!

Our FUN Quick trip to SLC!!! 4-5-2008

I surprised the kids Friday morning- checking them out of school early and heading to Salt Lake for a mini get-away since Adam would be working late again and would be gone most of the weekend. When I told them where we were going they thought I was kidding-but soon found out I wasn't-We had a GREAT time staying at my parent’s house, shopping, eating AWESOME food, and having a blast at the Dinosaur Museum!

My Little Corn on the Cobb! 4-3-2008

J-Dog was in a school play and he was the cutest little Corn! He said his part loud and clear and sang all of the songs as loud as he could! We have loved having Sandra as a teacher this year, and will miss not having her next year! Way to go Dog!

On the bright side of this crazy life…

The past couple of months has gone by in a blur and I feel that I haven’t had time to sit and enjoy my children like I should or my poor husband. I feel like I am constantly nagging everyone to hurry up so we can get here or there. So I would like to take a minute to say...

I am thankful to have a HUSBAND who works harder than he SHOULD. I am thankful to have a DAUGHTER to teach me how to be a better MOMMA. I am thankful for J-DOG without his tender heart the world would be BLUE! I am thankful for KODA to remind me to LAUGH. I am thankful for my SISTER who listens to ME. I am thankful for my SWEETS who puts up with ALL of me. I am thankful for my DAD who has shown me what UNCONDITIONAL love is. I am thankful for the HARD times to help me APPRECIATE the good. I am thankful for a MOM for being a great GRANDMA. I am thankful for the INNOCENCE of my children to help me see life through the eyes of GOD.

Dirty Little Player - SCORES!!!

Ok-so some of you know what an animal Bailia is on the soccer field-for those of you who don't let me give you an idea of how she is-she wants to throw the ball in from the sidelines and run in to kick it at the same time, and she does! It is a hoot to watch her, and you can't help but cheer her on and laugh. We had to coach her at the last game to stop pushing her own teammates out of the way to get to the ball; I mean we had to draw the line somewhere, right? Then as I looked through the pictures I took of the game yesterday I noticed THAT DIRTY LITTLE PLAYER was caught on film-the shot was taken accidentally-as you can tell the heads are cut off (maybe to secure the identity of the dirty player? hmmm) but as you can see she pushes any and everyone out of her way to get to that ball! But the good news is SHE SCORED her FIRST GOAL!! She said that her coach said she scored two but we only witnessed one (if you have ever been to a young soccer game you know it looks like a swarm of bees-so visibility is low) but we KNOW she scored at least one! GO HAWKS!!!

Reflections Winner!!

My Cute little firecracker Bailia won two awards for reflections this year! She won 1st place in Arts and 2nd place in Literature out of all of the kindergarten kids ! Mrs Mathews actually did it as a project in class one day (which I was so thankful for because the reflections were during the time Koda had pneumonia so I wasn't up to the task this year!) Good job Sissy!

First BaseBall Game! 3-2008

Ok so we have actually had three games now (I am getting behind because there are SO many things going on right now! I have two Baseball games and one practice two soccer games and two practices and gymnastics EVERY week!) But here are pictures from the first game! Jaden was so nervous but had a great time! I LOVE going to watch the kids play-they get so excited about playing-even if they don't win. GO ROCKIES!

Milne Easter Party!!! 3-22-2008

The girls (Becca, Kimberly Keely, Me, Bailia, and Jada Mae)
Koda having fun playing a little ball!
Beautiful girls Keely and Bailia
Sweets and I
The Whole Family!!

We went out into the Sand Dunes that are pretty much our backyard up in Green Springs. It was a beautiful day with perfect weather and great friends! Becca and her family, Travis and his family, Gary, Kimberly and her family, and our family met at our house and drove our 4-wheelers, jeep, and trucks out to the dunes for lunch, an egg hunt, good conversation, and a spontaneous baseball game (using a pipe Gary found-so we pretty much had a game of stickball) that turned out to be the hit of the party! The kids loved taking the 4-wheelers out and about-and it made me realize that I am getting old-thinking back to when I was their age my friends and I used to take the moped, 4-wheeler, whatever it may be out and about so we wouldn't have to hang out with the little ones and the old parents! The kids found way too many eggs, but loved every second of the egg hunt. They played in the sand until we had to drag them away. Mark your calendars family because we are defiantly doing the same thing next year! We had a blast! Happy Easter Everyone!!

For Jed's 25th B-day Nikki decided to have a Surprise Birthday Party! We all met at Gary's house and had a great time! With plenty of Pizza Factory Pizza and Costco cake-how can you go wrong! As you can see Jed also got a NICE present from Nikki (notice he is the only one not squinting in the boys’ picture-good choice of glasses Nikki!!) After the party Jed, A, Tiny, and Bubs went out for a game of golf. I don't think Jed could have asked for a better day! Happy Birthday Jedi-O!! Thanks for the fun party Nikki!

Poor Koda!!

Cooper has been sick for a LONG time now-(going on two months!) and he would start getting better then he would get worse than before. Back in mid-February he was diagnosed with pneumonia and a sinus infection-after 10 days of antibiotic we went back to the doctor to make sure it had cleared up and they said he sounded pretty good. 4 days after that not being able to break his 104* temperature- we were in the ER getting him pumped full of fluids and antibiotic once again! They did blood work and took X-rays of his lungs and found out he still had pneumonia and something similar to bronchitis as well! It has been a scary tiring week and I am thankful he has started to feel better and hope this time he stays better!!! This is a picture of Koda shortly after we returned from the hospital-he has done a lot of sleeping this past week and is now bored out of his mind and just wants to PLAY!

The First Soccer Game! 3-1-2008

The kids were so excited for their first soccer game of the season-Jaden's game was first and he did really well-this is his first year playing soccer and he loves it! They won 2-0-GO TEAM! Bailia's game was next and little did we know she is an animal! Although they lost (big time) 0-6 she single handedly took the ball to the net 4 or 5 times! We had so much fun watching both kids play! Our days are getting busier and busier now-Baseball has already begun (even though I was told it wouldn't start until mid April) So we have Soccer 2 days a week for Jaden and Bailia, Jaden has Baseball 2 days a week and they all three have gymnastics once a week. But now Jaden has been asked to compete with the gymnastics team-which is AWESOME-but adds a few more days to his week that is already hectic!!

The Missing TOOTH!!! 2-27-2008

It finally happened-Bailia lost her first tooth! She has been waiting for this day since Jaden lost his first tooth 2 1/2 years ago! She was POSITIVE when she turned 5 a tooth would instantly fall out - then she turned 6 and still no luck-now at the ripe old age of 6 1/2 she finally lost one! I don't think you could get her to stop smiling that night-calling EVERYONE she could possibly think of-she even wanted to call her teacher Mrs. Mathews but I told her it was a little late to be calling-too cute!! Congratulations baby girl!
