Last Soccer Game, Play Day, Beauty Day, & Money! 5/3/2009

Bailia had her final soccer game on Saturday-what a GAME! Her team won 5-0! The girls were on fire-Way to go Red Hawks! See you next season!
Happy Birthday to me best friend EVER! My sister turned 31 yesterday- and Jaxon came over for a few hours while she went to a meeting (birthdays are SO much fun when you get old!) The kids had a ball playing with him. Riding bikes, jumping on the tramp, and being silly! Thanks for coming to play Jack-and I hope you had a VERY happy birthday Jen!

After Jaxon went home Bailia asked if she could paint her nails. Sure I said-just don't make a mess. I was busy finishing my lesson for primary and after about 20 minutes I thought it seemed awefully quiet! So I went in to check on Bailia, and this is what I found! Bailia and Koda were having a beauty day! Bailia had painted her own nails and then decided to work on Koda's nails as well! The things this kid gets talked into might make him hate us when he is older-right now I love it that he is so easy going!

When I was young (maybe kindergarten or first grade) I took a bag of all of my money to school-to give it to Mrs. Little-my sisters teacher. Why? I have no idea-maybe I thought she needed it? Maybe that was my way of letting her know I liked her? I will have to ask my mom if she knows the reason. Anyway, Friday I found out Bailia is a girl after my own heart. As I see her sneaking something into her backpack I ask her what it is. Nothing she says. Tell me what it is-She pulls out a zip-loc FILLED with ALL of her money and a note taped to it telling Mrs. T that she wanted her to buy a new pencil sharpener with the money. The sharpener at school has been broken for a while, so Bailia decided to take matters into her own hands! I didn't let her take it to school, instead I told her if she wanted to do it that bad (since she was bawling by this time that I am such a mean mom and she can do whatever she wants with her own money-oh I can't wait for the teenage years-that should be LOADS of fun) that I would take her to the store and she could buy a sharpener and still have oodles of money left over. She said that idea would work for her-so yesterday we headed to trusty Target and bought a new sharpener-and sure enough Bailia has a bag of money that is still pretty full!

Life as we know it...B U S Y ! 5/1/2009

Since Koda has outgrown his little bike Adam brought him home a new "big kid" bike! He loves it and would ride EVERY second if I would let him!
After a terribly FUN spring break (note the sarcasm) I knew I had to get something for the kids to do before summer break hit us! I found this little 6'6" trampoline that the kids are having a BLAST with it! It has been a great toy that they will have fun with for many moons! Thanks Overstock!
When Grandma and Grandpa Williams said they were coming down and staying in a hotel~we said~do they have a pool? So we were going over to go swimming but were sidetracked by going over to see Stacie's very pregnant horse, and Dar's Baby Goat. Koda was blown away finding out that I had a "second mom" and HAD to take a few pictures of her and Stacie. We have known Dar and her family for probably 25 years-I watched her kids growing up-now to see them all grown up makes me feel REALLY old! We can't wait to go back to see the little colt whenever Stacie's poor horse delivers! The poor thing is more than TWO weeks overdue! I couldn't imagine! So in the end we didn't go swimming, but had a great time seeing all of the animals!
Koda Bear came running outside in one of Bailia's leotards a few minutes after she had put one on to jump. He is such a crack-up! In the middle picture Bailia is telling him "see how your boobs are poking out? That means you have it on BACKWARDS!" Silly boy~you always know how to make us smile!
Adam had to get his throat and stomach scoped to see if there were any abnormalities (he is A OK thank goodness) we waited for about an hour and a half for him to come to. Koda tried his hardest to wake his daddy up and in the end just held his hand.
During the wait though Koda and I were borded. Since I had been taking pictures of Adam, Koda wanted pictures of himself. Which started a very long goofy pose picture session-most too embarrassing to post! =)
Last night Jaden had the season end Gymnastics party at Pizza Factory! Devin did a great job putting together a DVD of pictures from throughout the season. I am so thankful for the friendship that Jaden has formed with both of his coaches (Devin and Jermey) they are so good to the boys and look forward to the next season!
Sure they might look cute, but mice are DISGUSTING! I will spare you the pictures that I actually took and just post a nice picture of ol'Jerry! Why the post you ask? Well, in the past two week we have caught 19, yes NINETEEN mice in our backyard! Now I understand that we live next to the great outdoors but 19? Come on!! We have SO many traps set up it is sad-but luckily they have all been caught on our patio and not in our garage or (knock on wood) our house. I told Adam that if we had that many in our house we would have to MOVE!
The sad thing is LONG, LONG ago when I worked at Southgate, in our maitnence shop there was a little mouse that had a litter of babies. ALL of the guys wanted to kill them-the Snow White that I was back then HAD to save them! I carried them without gloves- (oh gross I think I just vomited in my mouth) and saved the little creatures! Maybe if I would have continued to work outside I wouldn't have become so disgusted by everything, but I became a mom. A very overprotective, germaphob mom.

Two Wheels, Soccer, and Yard Sale! 4/26/2009

I have said this many times before, and will say it for years to come I am sure. Where do the years go? It seems to hit hard every now and again-today was one of those times. This weekend have taught my last "baby" how to ride a two wheeler.
Bringing my final baby home seems like yesterday, butnow I am told on a daily basis (because I might forget) that "I am five and a half now, mom!"
As I watched Koda ride around and around our circle, I thought to myself how he must feel with this new found freedom? From the look on his face he is on top of the world!

Then I asked myself, WHY? Why do I let the little things bother me so much? Why can't I enjoy life like I used to, like the kids do? Does my house have to be perfectly clean at all times? Do my kids have to follow such a strict schedule? Do I have to be so uptight ALL the time? When did I become so OLD? I want so many things for my kids and in turn I want everything to be perfect, AT ALL TIMES! I need to let go of that, so that I can let the fun, carefree me back in. Can it be done? Not likely-but I am sure going to try! For the sake of my family, and the sanity of myself-I MUST try!
Anyway, sorry to ramble on. Koda we are so very proud of you! After a few tries on your little bike on Saturday night, then deciding Sunday afternoon that Sissy's bike might be easier, you never looked back. You took off and rode ALL afternoon until we forced you inside!
Bailia's soccer game ended with a tie! She can't wait until next weeks final game- she is determined to end with a win!
My sister and I had our yearly yard sale last weekend. We LOVE getting rid of as much junk possible. This year we didn't have very many big ticket items, but still managed to each walk away almost $650 richer!

Beautiful Bailia & Fiesta Fun! 4/23/2009

Yesterday we were invited to Jada Mae's Lion King play. I told the kids if they wanted to go they needed to get their chores done, and get ready. Bailia came in and said she had finished! She had changed her clothes, re-did her hair, and put make-up on! I swear she is growing up much TOO fast!
Tuesday I had a million things that I should have been doing. Instead I took Cooper to Fiesta Fun! He had a GREAT time playing on EVERYTHING he possibly could! We rode the bumper boats, go-karts, kiddie carts, played a round of miniature golf, and played on all of the disgusting toys and games inside! It was so nice to have a day of fun, instead of non-stop GO!

With the 320 tickets that Koda won on the games, he cashed in on some great prizes! He picked out a popper and a train whistle for Bailia, a popper, train whistle, and a shark for Jaden, and a grabber-nabber, shark, and dinosaur for himself! For the rest of the day Cooper kept saying thanks Momma for taking me to Fiesta Fun, I had So much fun! By the way Koda-I had SO much fun too-thanks for going with me!

Sissy's Song 4/19/2009

Click to play this Smilebox postcard: Sissy's Song 4/19/2009

As we were getting ready for church this morning Bailia came in and said Mom I wrote a song, do you want to hear it?
In the middle of the morning rush I didn't think much of it and said sure.
Here is what she sang...

God is our father of heaven.
He let's us choose our choices.
He wants us to choose the right.
He loves us, He cares about us.
He gives us the gift of the holy ghost.
We love Him with all of our heart.
I'll continue to live the best that I can,
So that I can live with Him again.

I was pretty impressed-not bad for a seven year old! Oddly enough sharing time's lesson was about God giving us the opportunity to make our own choices! When we got home from church I played the music to a church hymn for her to follow a tune and this is a video of how it turned out. We did two takes, she wanted to do another because she "totally messed up at the end" but it is bed time! So here is her writing career debut! She informed me that maybe song writing is her hidden talent!

The Time Has Come to go PRIVATE!

OK-after talking to a few people they have convinced me to keep the blog OPEN. (unless I get freaked out again) =)

Easter Fun, Golfing in Beaver, & the Track Meet! 4/12/2009

Happy Easter one and all!
This year I am SO glad the Easter Bunny didn't get out of control like every other year. I had to have a talk with Santa and the Easter Bunny about always going overboard~surprisingly enough they both listened! This year each of the kids found about 15 eggs each instead of the about 40 a piece they usually get! Mom and Dad gave the kids each a sand bucket, a toy, a dvd, some bubbles, and some play-doh. Simple? Sure. Was it enough? Plenty!

Bailia made sure that the Easter Bunny had a card and some Broccoli because "The Easter Bunny probably gets sick of the carrots other kids leave out for him!"This year I decided to try tie-dye T-shirt spray, and dip dying, for the eggs-the spray may be one of my best ideas to date (although I am guessing some other genius, maybe Martha, thought of the idea long ago) it was super easy, it makes the coolest designs, the kids loved it a lot more than the dip dye, and clean-up was a breeze!

Friday the kids had their Hershey's Track Meet! They had a great time~I am sure everyone's favorite part was hanging out with friends!

Friday after school we hit the road, and headed up to Beaver to meet my parents for a round of golf! Koda's allergies have been giving him troubles again, and this is what happened after about ten minutes on the freeway! He slept the entire ride on Jaden's shoulder while Jdog read, Coop woke up stuffy, but happy!

You can see why we are willing to drive three hours round trip just to golf. All three kids can play plus Harley can go along for the ride! I LOVE the laid back life of the small town!

Koda and Sis started chasing a goose that was on the course. It ran around for a little bit then decided it wanted no part of all of the madness and flew the coop! After the golf game we went to Maria's~a little Mexican Restaurant~to warm up and have a good meal!

Program, 1st place, and 1st place AGAIN! 4/10/2009

Bailia had the 2nd grade annual How Does Your Garden Grow program. She was a darling little scarecrow and did great with her part!

We have been so lucky to have Sandra for a teacher for Jaden, and now Bailia. Sandra loves our kids as her own, and I know with her around my kids are safe and well taken care of. Bailia has grown SO much over this past year and I am thankful for Sandra helping guide her through it! It is hard to believe that there are only 30~ that's right 3 0 ~ more school days until summer vacation!
Jaden entered in the school science fair, and took 1st place! It was a LONG project five weeks-week after week-of dealing with rotting teeth. His project title is What affect do different drinks have on our teeth? He chose Diet Coke, Red Gatorade, Country Time Lemonade, Milk, Iced Coffee, Apple Juice, and Mountain Dew for the drinks. My mom works for a dentist and we were able to get enough teeth to have two teeth per drink from her dentist. The Diet Coke and Mountain dew were DISGUSTING but in the end the Country Time Lemonade was the worst drink for the teeth-eating the enamel away completely!
Koda bear ended uo taking 1st place in the NCAA cometition in our family game! He picked the teams ALL by himself and ended up 99.9% in the ENTIRE country! So out of roughly 5 MILLION people he ended up in 4971st place-NOT BAD for a five year old! So out of our family game he won $125 but then almost doubled his money by putting $100 of that money in the bank, which we always match when they choose to put money in the bank! Jaden took 2nd place winning $75 and Adam took 3rd winning $50! The Milne family swept the game this year-out of 25 people who entered our family ended up the VERY lucky few!

Terrific Target & Pedicure 4/7/2009

After a busy day of shopping, and preparing ourselves for the rest of the week~which is going to be total chaos, Koda and I decided to treat ourselves to a pedicure! This was his first professional pedicure and he LOVED it! He was a little nervous at first because he thought only girls got pedicures. I told him guys go all the time-he said do they have blue and green polish? I told them they do, and that convinced him that guys must get them! The funny thing is that as we were getting ready to leave a little old man and his wife came in to both get a pedicure! I sure am going to miss my little side kick when he starts school next year!

I am very excited about today's shopping trip to Target because for the price of just the Leapster I bought ALL of this! Here is the run down~

Soccer Win and Sweet Bailia 4/4/2009

Bailia had a GREAT soccer game today! IT was VERY exciting with a LOT of action! All of the girls did great and have come SO far this season!
After Bailia made her first goal all of the girls ran over to her for a group hug! What a supportive, fun team she has!
She made two out of her teams five goals and they won 5-2. This is their first win (the other games have ended in a tie) and she is SO excited! Thanks again Grandpa Gary for coming to her game again-also to Luke and Megan for coming to support Bailia-she loves every second in the spotlight!
After a LONG day of homework, book reports, and fighting kids (do they ever stop fighting?) I found a little note that said~Clue #1. I followed the clues one through five and ended finding two paper plates tied together with ribbon hidden under my pillow. Inside the plates I found a little brown card that read~Dear Mom, You are the best Mom I could ever get.
Thank you Bailia I REALLY needed that today! You are the BEST~I lOvE yOu!
