This is the first adult/junior tournament the kids have played in all year. Jdog was going to honored as the player of the year after the tournament, so we figured we might as well sign the kids up to play. We had planned on A playing with Koda, Grandpa Williams playing with Jdog, and finding someone to play with Sis. When Grandpa Williams had to go out of town the day before the tournament we were left scrambling to find two players! We called everyone we knew~finally Kevin (the kids' golf coach) called and said he had a couple of people to play with the kids. They were both local boys that were on the BYU golf team~AWESOME golfers! The kids had a blast, both of the guys were so nice, patient, helpful, and encouraging for the kids! It was a great experience for both Jdog and Sis, and we appreciated both of the guys for coming out to play with the kids on such short notice!
It is always a big deal to be Player of the Year, but for Jdog it was an even bigger deal! We moved him up an age division this year so that he would have harder competition. By moving him up he not only had to play against boys that were two years older than him, he also had to move from the junior tees to the red tees. On the majority of the holes this meant that he would be moving back 50~150 yards each hole! So to come out and win the majority of the tournaments to take Player of the Year is incredible! We are SO proud of him! Bailia missed out on being player of the year by 50 points! So she took 2nd in the 10 & under age division, and Koda took 3rd in the 8 and under! They all had such a great year!

My kids have been on the braces count down for weeks! They couldn't wait to finally have a mouth full of metal. Well, a half of a mouth of metal. The other half will be put on in August. Having my kids so close in age has a lot of pros and cons. Braces would be a con. Who knew braces were SO expensive?!?! $4300 per set~OUCH! I waved goodbye to Bora Bora, as I made the payment . . .
July 19~20, 2011 ~ Quarter and Semi-finals ~
Hannah was so excited to finally be able to come out and watch Jdog play in a golf tournament! Jdog has had many, many people (all adults) come out and follow him during his tournaments, but he was so excited to have someone his age being there to cheer him on! I'm sure it didn't hurt that it was one of his best friends, and she's not bad to look at either! Haha!
Koda bear got into a groove about halfway through the season. He played better than he ever has before, and battled to the semi-finals! It was a close match at St. George Golf Course, and someone always has to lose, and today was Koda's turn to lose.
Bailia about melted (let's be honest, we were all melting) during Tuesday's match at Southgate~but she played great and won her match!

I don't know why I screw up on every date on the next few pages, but I guess that's what happens when I get SO far behind!
