We love going for walks in the canyon behind our house looking for golf balls. Through the years of walking we have seen many things-coyotes, snakes, a momma quail sitting on her nest, and now this is the second tarantula that we have found! I can't believe the kids were brave enough to hold it-YUCK!

Oh you know how I am about spiders. I had to pick up my feet just looking at the pictures. Did you keep it for a Halloween decoration??? LOL
Oh. My. Gosh. I nearly fainted when I saw those pictures!! I would not have been brave enough to take the pictures, let alone TOUCH that thing. Sweet merciful crap. Your kids have nerves of steel!
Wow you guys sure do have fun. Your kids are crazy. Bob said he was the only one there Thursday. where were you? Maybe next week we can chat. Life is crazy.
NO WAY...i've heard tarantula's were down here but chose to not believe it. I think I would have run all the way home in fear..don't they bite???
