Gym Meet~January 22, 2011

It's my journal, and I'll brag if I want to!
I love diamonds, always have, always will. If A can't think of anything to buy for me, a diamond is always a safe bet. And trust me when I say he hasn't been able to think of anything to buy for me on quite a few occasions. I am perfectly fine with that!
I have adored a ring similar to this for years. I saved the picture on my computer, and drooled over it every time I would look at it. I would show A every now and again, just to remind him how beautiful the ring is.
For my birthday this year A informed me that I would be picking out a center stone for my dream ring! Of course I was thrilled, yet hesitant at the same time. Many thoughts raced through my mind.
Did I really need another diamond ring?
We all know the answer to this one, No!
Did I want another diamond ring?
You know it!
So the want outweighed the need this time. Like A said, I know it will make you happy, & I like making you happy.
Have I mentioned lately that I love my husband? Seriously, I REALLY love my husband. Yes the ring makes my heart flutter every time I look at it, but I would love him with or without the ring. The fact that A would do anything to make me happy, reminds me why I married the guy in the first place. He loves me as much as I love him, and that's what make our crazy world work!
Back to the ring. Once we picked out the diamond we had the ring designed and built. It took a little over a month to get here, but it was SO worth it!
The pictures aren't great (photographing jewelery is not my specialty) but at least I will have a few in my scrapbook to remember the day I got this beauty!

Happy Birthday Koda Bear!

There will be many pictures coming, but for now I am just going to post this peaceful picture of Koda, taken just after the nurses gave him back to me. Not even an hour old, content as can be, laying in my lap.

I can't believe my little brown bear is already SEVEN! How have seven years passed since I held this tiny bundle in my arms?
I remember this day SO well. I can play it back in my mind as if it happening now. The pregnancy was a bit rough, but totally worth it! We started out the pregnancy being told that we would probably lose him, because of the many Xrays that had been done on me, before I knew I was pregnant. Then not being able to even walk without pain, which was even harder to deal with, having a two and a three year old at home with me. Then being scared to death after getting sent to the hospital, just a week before he was born, when we couldn't get him to move for the longest time. It turns out he was just hibernating in his squishy little cave, but they kept us in the hospital to monitor him for a bit.
Even though it was a hard pregnancy, I really loved every second of it, and the delivery was a piece of cake! Maybe rough pregnancies equal easy deliveries? In the hospital the nurses called him the handsome prince. They loved his fuzzy body, his coloring, his darling face, and his sweet personality! Becca had brought Bailia and Jaden over to the hospital, just as they finished bathing Cooper, it was love at first sight.
Before leaving the hospital the doctor informed us it would be wise for me to have any more kids. In my mind I wanted more, I had always planned for more. But honestly as soon as he told me that, I knew I was finished, and I was completely content with the three little miracles I had been blessed with. Our family was perfect.
I love the way Koda loves me, he tells me I am his best friend multiple times a day. He loves to snuggle with me as often as possible, and I think he fakes nightmares sometimes so that he can sleep with us. He admires Jdog and Sis, and wants to do everything with them. I hope that the three of them will always be best friends, don't get me wrong they fight like cats and dogs, but oh how they love each other!
Koda is the funniest kid ever. He catches on to humor that he shouldn't, and he says things that will make you laugh for days! I hope he knows how much we all love him, and even though I tried to talk him into skipping this birthday so that he wouldn't grow up so fast, I hope he had a great day!
Happy Birthday Koda!

Resolutions... 1/1/11

Well, I couldn't stop it from coming, and obviously neither could you. Whether we like it or not, 2011 is here. What I would like to know is, what in the world happened to 2010? I'm not kidding, was I in a coma or something? It seems like people were just trying to figure out how to say 2010, and here it is a year later!

I am not one that makes resolutions, let alone stick to them! But I am going to set a few goals for myself anyway, and try to reach them this year.

1~Exercise more~I mean seriously, I would like to touch my toes again at some point.

2~Learn as much as I can teaching the 10-11 year old kids in primary. This won't be hard-since I'm not very educated when it comes to The New Testament. That's a total lie. I don't know ANYTHING about it! On the bright side, the only place to go is up!

3~Organize my entire house, and keep it that way! Hey, a girl can dream right! These are called goals after all, not laws!

4~Stop swearing. Stop laughing ~ @*$%&#, I can try! Maybe I should readjust that goal a bit. I am going to try to stop swearing SO much. Working with mostly men for ten years gave me a mouth like a sailor, and it is SUCH a hard habit to kick!

5~Be more patient, especially with my kids. This one is serious, since I like things to be perfect, ALL the time. I need to learn to relax a bit, and not be such a drill Sargent. This one will probably be more challenging than the swearing problem...

Happy 2011 (I typed 2010 three times before getting that right) Everyone!
